Born in Sassari (Italy), in 1985, he began his musical studies at the age of nine at the Conservatory of his hometown, graduating in piano at the age of 21 with top marks and honors. He was admitted to the advanced piano courses at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo and, subsequently, to the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, continuing his studies under the guidance of great pianists such as Enrico Stellini, Pietro de Maria and Andrea Lucchesini.
After embarking on a piano solo career nationally and internationally, he began an intense collaboration with opera singers both in Italy and abroad, working as a substitute maestro in theaters such as: the Ente concerti “de Carolis” in Sassari, the “V.Emanuele” theater in Messina, the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, the Fondazione Arena di Verona and the “G.Verdi” theater in Trieste.
He approached the study of orchestral conducting at the age of 22, participating in various training courses and simultaneously attending the composition course at the Conservatory. In 2012 he entered the Post graduate course in orchestral conducting at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of Vittorio Parisi, graduating with full marks.
In 2014 he made his debut in Sassari conducting the oratorio “Davide Penitente” by W.A.Mozart organized by the “L.Canepa” Conservatory and the Santa Cecilia Polyphonic Association of Sassari, of which he was appointed artistic director from 2015 to 2017; subsequently he conducted youthful works in the theater of his hometown such as “Noye’s Fludde” by B.Britten, “Brundibar” by H.Krasa and a concert of opera arias with the tenor Roberto Aronica as soloist; in October 2015 he conducted Ponchielli’s “Promessi Sposi” at the Milan Conservatory.
He has worked with the Teatro Lirico orchestra in Cagliari, Teatro Carlo Felice orchestra in Genoa, “De Carolis”orchestra in Sassari, Milan Conservatory orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Benevento, Puccini Festival orchestra, Serbian National Theatre orchestra, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Samsun Opera House orchestra, Antalya Opera House orchestra, Ankara Opera House orchestra, the Presidential Orchestra of Ankara, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester of Basel and the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra in Budapest.
Since June 2017 he has been Stage Music Director at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, “De Carolis” Theatre in Sassari and the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.
In the last national lyric-symphonic seasons he has been assistant to important conductors such as Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Jordi Bernacer, Riccardo Frizza and John Axelrod and since 2018 he has been working alongside maestro Gianluca Marcianò, starting a close collaboration at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad: in the same theatre since June 2019 he has held the position of guest conductor, debuting in operas such as Rigoletto, Faust, Bohème, Butterfly and Aida. He began 2020 with an intense tour in China with the Serbian National Opera Theatre Orchestra and in February he signed an annual contract as conductor at the Samsun Opera Theatre in Turkey. Since 2021 he has had a stable and continuous collaboration as director at the prestigious Ankara Opera Theatre conducting first productions such as Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Un ballo in maschera and Tosca. In October 2022 he conducted Rossini's La Cenerentola at the Teatro del Carmine in Tempio Pausania in collaboration with the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.
He has been a member of the jury of important international competitions, such as the 9th international competition for opera conductors in Orvieto in 2021 and the 2nd Suna Kan international violin competition in Ankara in 2022.
In July 2022 he was a finalist in the 4th edition of the BMI International Conducting Competition in Romania, receiving the special prize from the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra.
After the production of Elisir d'amore with the orchestra of the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, he returned to Turkey in 2023, conducting Turandot at the Presidential Concert Hall in Ankara. In June he opened the opera season of the Ente Concerti "de Carolis" in Sassari with the performance of Cavalleria Rusticana, while in December he debuted Verdi's Requiem with the Presidential Orchestra of Ankara.
Among his most recent engagements are the new productions of Tosca and Carmen at the Mersin Opera House in 2024 and a collaboration for a Puccini diptych - Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi - with the Conservatorio di Milano orchestra.
In November he will be engaged for a Verdi Requiem in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Istanbul Opera House and a new production of La Bohème at the Mersin Opera and Ballet House in Turkey, where he has been General Music Director since January 2024.
